Application of organic silicon materials in car electronics. Silicone used in car electronic equipment includes: adhesives and sealants, potting compounds, gels, insulating coatings, thermal conductive adhesives and other materials. These materials are used to maintain engine control modules, point front ring and incineration modules, power system modules, braking system modules, exhaust emission control modules, power systems, lighting systems, various sensors, connectors, and so on.
Adhesive and sealant: Used in various control modules as the bonding and fixing of circuit board components, or for auxiliary fixing of large-scale components, such as capacitors, inductors, and coils to prevent damage to components Oscillates and falls, it has the function of fixing and damping. In addition, it is also used for the bonding and sealing of module housing, which has the functions of sealing, moisture-proof, anti-fouling and anti-corrosion. If a thermally conductive adhesive is used, it has both bonding and heat dissipation functions. It can be used to fix power devices or bond heat sinks to achieve bonding and heat dissipation functions. British ACC's AS1800 series of ketone-free sealants are neutral curing, non-corrosive, fast surface drying, and excellent bonding properties. It can withstand diesel oil to a large extent without affecting sensitive electronic parts. AS1800 series sealants are mainly used for bonding, sealing and moisture-proofing of car power transmission system. AS1802, AS1803, and AS1808 are thermally conductive and can be used for heat dissipation, sealing and bonding.
Potting glue: It is used on various control modules to do general and general potting for the element equipment to meet the basic requirements of moisture-proof, anti-fouling and anti-corrosion. The use of silicone potting compound can achieve the function of reducing stress and accepting high and low temperature impact. Regarding high-power control modules, thermal conductivity potting glue is used to achieve the function of heat dissipation. Silicone potting materials are widely used in equipment such as ABS sensors and power system modules. Since the internal equipment will generate heat, the potting compound needs to have a certain thermal effect, and it must be UL94V-0 flame retardant. ACC QSil553 two-component potting glue is very good for ABS sensors.
Gel: Gel potting material is the most important glue used in car electronic equipment. The function is similar to potting glue, but it provides further stress reduction and vibration reduction functions. Regarding the precision circuit, the circuit maintenance in the case of receiving oscillation and receiving extremely low temperature is particularly useful. The extremely low stress of silicone gel potting materials and the original insulation and moisture-proof functions of silicone make silicone gel potting materials the primary potting maintenance material in car electronics. Maintenance of the engine control module, the front ring, the rectifier, the car fan, etc. are typical applications. Car lights now use LED technology in almost all applications. ACC's optically transparent silicone gel is often used together with LED modules to maintain and improve the output and power of the light. The refractive index of the gel can be adjusted between 1.40 and 1.49. Qgel330 is excellent for the insulation and sealing maintenance of the front ring of the dot. EGel3002 silicone gel is suitable for potting rectifiers and Qgel331 is suitable for potting car fans and the color is blue for easy inspection and convenient use.
Thermal conductive material: There are many high-power components in various electronic control modules that will generate a lot of heat during operation, which will make the temperature of the module gradually increase during operation. In order to prevent damage to the components and circuits due to excessive temperature, it is necessary to have a proper heat dissipation method to keep the control module operating at the proper temperature. No matter what kind of heat dissipation method is selected, it is necessary to use thermal conductive material as a medium to reduce the interface touch thermal resistance and increase the heat dissipation efficiency. Silicone materials include thermally conductive adhesives, potting compounds, and gel potting materials, among which thermally conductive adhesives are used to bond and fix power components and heat sinks. Thermally conductive potting glue and gel are used as module potting, and the materials of this technology are used in engine control module and power system module.
Car electronics require shock, moisture and chemical resistance, and the remaining heat needs to be emitted without damaging the micro electronic board. Carefully select professional fillers, high-purity polymers and professional chemicals to ensure that all requirements are satisfied.
