Brushing is the simplest coating method. It is generally used for partial repairs and repairs, and can also be used in laboratory environments or small batches of trial production/production, generally where coating quality requirements are not very high. So how to brush the three-proof paint on the PCB board? What are the advantages of brushing?
The advantage of the brushing method is that it does not require equipment and fixture investment; it saves coating materials; generally, there is no need to conceal procedures. The disadvantage is that the scope of application is narrow; the power is the lowest; the entire board has a masking effect when brushing, and the coating consistency is poor. Due to manual operation, it is easy to show defects such as bubbles, ripples, and uneven thickness; a lot of manpower is required.
Precautions:
1. Before brushing, make sure that the diluted product is fully mixed, and it is best to leave it for 2 hours.
2. Metal or plastic containers should be used for the three-proof paint, wood and PVC are not acceptable, because chemical reactions will occur, which will corrode the container and damage the product.
3. Clean and bake the board to remove moisture and moisture.
4. The dust, moisture and oil on the surface of the object to be coated must be removed. Complete cleaning can ensure that the corrosive residue is completely removed, and the conformal paint will adhere well to the surface of the circuit board.
5. The selection of brushes is also very important. Since the product is not insulated before the product is cured, it is necessary to choose an anti-static, non-linting brush, such as a high-quality natural fiber brush.
6. When brushing, the board should be placed as flat as possible. After brushing, there should be no dripping, and the brushing should be flat and there should be no exposed parts. The range of 0.1-0.3mm is appropriate.
7. The printed circuit board cannot be placed upside down, which will make the coating thinner and thicker, so it must be laid flat.
