Thermally conductive sealant (thermally conductive potting compound) is widely called electronic potting compound in the industry. Suitable for bonding, sealing, potting and coating protection of electronic equipment components. The potting glue is in a liquid state before being mixed and solidified, and it has strong fluidity. The viscosity of the potting glue varies according to the material, performance, and production process of the product.
You can choose your own thermally conductive potting products from the following aspects:
1. Whether it needs heat conduction and non-heat conduction flow and non-flow or semi-flow. Electronic thermal conductive potting glue manufacturers tell you the main classification of potting glue. Epoxy encapsulants generally have poor thermal conductivity and are generally used for more waterproof functions. The waterproof and durability of silicone encapsulant is more general, and more attention is paid to thermal conductivity, insulation and shock resistance.
2. Whether it is suitable for the color related to product characteristics and filling or bonding process characteristics.

Selection of performance parameters of thermally conductive sealant (thermally conductive potting)
1. For hardness, condensation type transparent is about 20 hardness, black/white/gray is about 30 hardness, addition type transparent is 0-35 hardness, black/white/gray is 0-70 hardness, the higher the hardness, the higher the specific gravity. The larger is, the density will be around 1.02 when the hardness is 20-30, and the specific gravity will be around 1.6 when the hardness is above 70.
2. For the flame retardancy, the addition type is better than the condensation type. The flame retardant grade of the condensation type is UL 94V -1, and the addition type can reach UL 94V-0.
3. For water resistance, good adhesion will have better waterproof effect. Condensed adhesive type can reach IPX7 waterproof level.
4. With regard to thermal conductivity, the two most prominent points of addition-molded silicone potting adhesives compared to other potting adhesives are thermal conductivity and flame retardancy.
5. For the adhesion, the adhesion of the condensation type is generally better, such as the addition molding, and the common ones can be bonded with PVC plastic, ceramic metal, ABS plastic, etc.
6. Regarding thermal conductivity, the thermal conductivity of the transparent potting compound is about 0.17 to 0.37, and the thermal conductivity of black/white/grey is about 0.6 to 0.8.
7. For the curing time requirements, the electronic thermal conductive potting glue manufacturers can adjust the curing time of the potting glue by changing the composition of the formula, or curing by heating, and the use temperature is -50 ~ 250 ℃.
8. For color: it can play the role of potting and sealing, but transparent is suitable for products with light source such as: LED module, LED flexible light bar, etc., because transparent can effectively spread the light rate, black is Can't. In terms of usage, for example, some parts of the IC circuit bare chip will be sensitive to light, then black electronic potting glue can solve this problem. For example, some cameras require flash units that need to receive external light, so transparent packaging must be used.
